It looks like the day when Cherry Mobile Flare first came out last November 2012, lots of people wants to own this new high-end and very affordable device from Cherry mobile again. Its hard to believe that this tablet packed with next generation features and specification can only be sell in a very low price, they called it Cherry Mobile Fusion Bolt.

Cherry Mobile launched the Fusion Bolt on March 6, 2013 with SRP of Php3,999. There is no way you can buy phones or tablet from popular brands with P4,000 that’s why I know that there are some compromises with this tablet. Don’t expect premium materials for its case and glass, but its not the kind of tablet that you could see in small stores in Quiapo and Divisoria with low-end specs like single-core processor and short life battery.

For techie person like me, pixel is really matter and I’m glad that the local company is now paying attention in display resolution. Cherry Mobile Fusion Bolt has a bright 7-inches IPS LCD Display with 1280 x 800 resolution and it gives the tablet a pixel density of 213 ppi (pixel per inch). It come with quad-core processor clocked at 1.0GHz, 1GB of RAM, 4000 mAh battery life and powered by Android OS ver4.1 Jelly Bean. It has a responsive touchscreen and easy to navigate with Android 4.1, can run high-quality 3D games like Temple Run 2, NBA2K13, Modern Combat 4 and Nova 3.

In terms of file sharing, Fusion Bolt has no Bluetooth feature, but removing this function will be fine for me as long as the mini HDMI port, USB port and USB (On-the-go) feature is there. Dual camera is also quipped to Fusion Bolt, 2.0 megapixel on the back and VGA quality on front. I think tablet doesn’t need high megapixel camera that will only make the price high and we do not use tablet camera for image capturing, we often use phone camera which is smaller and easy to handle.

I know some of my friends bought class C low-quality gadgets from Greenhills and Quiapo and I still have many friends who wants to experience having a smartphone and tablet. CM Fusion Bolt is a mid-range level but not a perfect tablet, but with its features and affordable price range, it is something that I can recommend to them.

This will be the first Hunter x Hunter animated movie that will be screened internationally. The movie title is Hunter x Hunter: Phantom Rouge is completely original story where Kurapika continues to pursue the Phantom Troupe but an unknown party has stolen his “scarlet eyes”. The true identity of the one with the No.4 spider tattoo is about to be unveiled.

The first anime screened in selected SM Cinema branches was Rurouni Kenshin followed by One Piece Film Z and Naruto Road to Ninja. I’m glad that SM Cinema will also screen the First Hunter x Hunter movie, and according to news, this popular anime is also a top box office in Japan that sold 357,976 tickets and earned 456,779,00 Yen (US$5,143,930). The movie premiered on January 12, 2013 in Japan theaters and will hit the SM Cinema very soon.

Hunter X Hunter episodes was ended in Greed Island season on Philippine TV in the year of 1999. My friend told me about the remake of the popular anime last year and has a title of Hunter X Hunter 2011. Story is still the same but what I like about the changes are things become more entertaining starting with the hunter exams, battle scenes improves, and skills like Nen was also well explained.

The good thing about the remake is the story after the G.I. Final which is the encounter with the chimera Ants Arc. After they’ve completed the Greed Island, Gon and Killua transported to Kite when they used the accompany card (planned by Ging). Kite is a Contract Hunter who was trained by Ging and gave him his final test to find Ging. Kite currently doing ecological research as part of biological survey when Gon and Killua met him.

I’m so glad that after over 10 years, they decided to make episodes after Greed Island. I was surprised when I saw the new opening theme of this anime. Hunter x Hunter third opening titled “Departure” sung by Masatoshi Ono, featuring Chimera Ants based on manga.

Sony finally revealed their next generation gaming console last February 20 at Manhattan Center Studios in New York. We watched the announcement live stream that is two hours long but majority of this PlayStation Meeting 2013 is boring.  After months of speculation, it drawn excitement and curiosity to many PlayStation fans. I personally felt a little bit frustrated  by the lack of physical unit design and features reveal. There are some good parts but I recommend to those really interested to watch the event and choose only the highlights instead.

They discussed system next generation feature and specs alongside a new controller called DualShock 4, new PlayStation Eye camera and lots of upcoming games. What I mostly like about this announcement is the all-new-design of DualShock PS controller with touchpad, share button and more, but the biggest changes is the “Share” button that allows players to easily send screenshots and video clips to places such as Ustream, Facebook and PlayStation Network, where fellow gamers can comment and even join your game in new ways.

Aside from DualShock 4 PS4 controller, another device that was highlight in the event is the new PlayStation Eye. This next generation Eye features two 1280 x 800 high-sensitive cameras with 85 degree wide-angle lenses. It also has four built-in microphones that promises facial recognition and player positioning and depth sensing to enhance PlayStation Move support.

The new Nokia flagship smartphone was announced last September 2012 and its called Nokia Lumia 920 which is now available in the Philippines. Last month, we saw new Nokia smartphone running a Windows 8 OS for demos only but our most awaited two Nokia Lumia phone are finally available in the Philippines for reasonable prices. Nokia Lumia 620 is the third most affordable handset in its range of Windows Phone 8 smartphones. In 1990s, computers usually found in companies, private schools and internet shop. Every year past, computers play an important role in our everyday life nowadays. Some people say that computers at home is a luxury but whether we realize it or not, computers have become necessary part of the modern life. Considering the fact that we are now living in computer age and other form of computers like tablet and smartphones are essential part of business and studies.

Every year, there are lots of new gadgets, and my friends or a member of my family will buy a smartphones. Before we buy a device, we always check for the features, specifications and feedback to make sure its worth it. In my part, I buy high-end gadgets for satisfaction and I know that everyone will also choose those gadgets with best features and durability that are costly. For expensive gadgets like laptop, tablet PC or smartphones, we buy protectors for screen and body to make sure its safe from scratches or accidental drop but many of us do not pay much attention for software internal security. Computer security is important for protecting our data and resources especially for confidential files. If there is a new song title or movie, it is much easier for me to download it online with fast internet connection. When media files transferred to a mobile devices, we will show it to our friends or transfer it using Bluetooth or USB which is the most common way of sharing files today. I’ve experienced to be hack and problem with internet virus before. We download games and movies that we are not sure if its safe or not, and I felt very disappointed when my high-level character in a popular online game was hacked.

We have many smartphone users at home, my cousin bought a new laptop just recently, we know that there are lots of threats online like viruses, aside from accessing my sensitive data and personal information saved in my computer, some of this viruses will greatly damage the system software, too. We also have to make sure that our security software should be reliable and can handle any kind of viruses. I always keep in my mind that those people who are serious in creating viruses to sabotage other’s account or system, I also need to be serious to do different ways to stay protected. Remember that having computers is an advantage in many aspect and made our life better.

I am not updated in gaming world anymore that’s why I’m not aware of the upcoming God of War game in PS3.  God of War Ascension is a new action-adventure game developed by Sta. Monica Studio and it was first introduced in E3 2012. It is going to be the first GOW installment to feature multiplayer with revamped combat and weapon system, and new game mechanics. A multiplayer beta was held from December 12, 2012 to January 21, 2013.

GOW Ascension will be published by Sony Computer Entertainment (exclusive for PS3) and scheduled to be released on March 12, 2013.

iOS 6 was announced on September 12, 2012 at San Francisco’s Yerba Buena Center for the Arts together with iPhone 5 and iPod Touch 5th-Gen. iOS 6 is already available to download for a week now but older iPhones and iPad are no longer supported by this update.
