Organic Light Emitting Diode TVs greatly enhance the viewing experience, with much thinner and lighter weight than existing Plasma and LCD screens, it provide more vivid, lifelike colors, better representation of fast action video, wider viewing angels, and high contrast ratios.
They say that this display technology has getting cheaper and more efficient as of late, the production costs are still too high and yield rates too low for large OLED TVs and will be feasible for commercial use in 2014. Remember that Sony release the first OLED TV XEL-1 few years ago for $2500, they haven’t produce a large one yet. We also heard that LG was planning on releasing a 55-inches OLED TV in 2012.
