Panasonic Eluga, Dust and Water proof, perfect for travel and adventure

Phone

Panasonic announced their new device that will compete to smartphone market with its water proof and dust proof features. Panasonic Eluga has a IP code 57 waterproof and dust proof certification, an NFC feature, and media conectivity features such as DLNA compatibility and ability to connect wirelessly with other Panasonic devices like HDTV Viera and Lumix camera. The phone’s slim body is elegant and simple in design but the edges looks sharp, on the top edge are waterproof covers for both microUSB port and microSIM card. Other smartphone brands are going to release waterproof mobile too that can stands up rainfall and spillages but it will be nice if the  phone camera can also use underwater.

I like its 4.3-inch touchscreen that used an AMOLED display and its glass protection makes it looks elegant. Good thing that it has a 1GHz dual-core CPU and 1GB of RAM for fast browsing and smooth gaming experience. I’m not impress with its 1150mAh non-replaceable battery even if there is an echo mode to save battery life, I think that making a slim design sacrificed its battery life. It runs a old version of Android OS 2.3 Gingerbread but I don’t think its a problem as long as it can be upgrade to Ice cream Sandwich.
